Bacteria in aquatic turtle cage?

I have 2 sliders and i noticed there are worms that keep appearing (starting very fiew at the bottom of the cage and then more and more as the move there way to the top) there white and there about 2 or 3 tenths of a centimeter, i cleaned there tank 3 times but now there back. Have any ideas?
