What movie is this, it's on VHS?

I only saw part of it, but the movie had a foreign title that translated to Meaningless or something like that. The movie has no words or dialogue at all, only a repetitive background music on electric piano with a M/F choir or br section coming in at certain points. The part I saw had city scenes and manufacturing jobs but the scenes were all sped up. My teacher said that the beginning of the movie had nature scenes it it. Can anyone tell me what movie this is?
