Where do I put my quaker's cage?

I jst got a 2 yr old quaker this weekend and he's pissed off. He was super sweet the first night, but today he is a little devil. I have a very open floor plan in my house, the upstairs is basically one big room with two rooms attached(the bedrooms) He is currently in the main big room. there is no where to have him in this room where people dont rush by him and the front door opens and he screams. Should I move his cage to my room and bring him into the living room on a play stand nightly?
